About the Author
Clint Boman, CSP
Professional Background
Clint Boman, CSP, worked for over three decades in oil and gas operations. He learned leadership where it matters most, on the front line. His career began long before safety departments, programs, or policies existed in his organization. When tasked with building Safety Department from scratch, Clint saw an opportunity to do things differently: to create a culture focused on people, not paperwork.
Field Operations
Clint’s operational expertise is grounded in three years as a field operations production operator and five years in field supervisory roles. During this period, he directly led the commissioning, startup, and ongoing operations of more than 30 offshore facilities, demonstrating both technical proficiency and leadership.
Leadership and Team Development
As a servant leader, he helped transform his employers’ operations by founding the company’s first EHS department and leading the “No Harm” journey, an initiative rooted in accountability, motivation, and trust. His philosophy challenges the conventional wisdom of safety management: proper incident prevention doesn’t come from programs but from leaders who prepare and motivate their people to make right decisions.
Vision for Operational Excellence
Clint’s work in Operational Excellence, developing operating standards, applying Lean Six Sigma strategies, and uniting diverse technical teams, has consistently elevated safety, productivity, efficiency and reliability, across industries. But beyond the systems and structures, his mission has always been human: to help leaders serve with integrity, resilience, and vision.
